'Supervision creates space for honest conversations between soul, role and context.' (Paterson)

Ruth Wilkinson

Originally from the UK, I moved to Australia in 2010 to study theology and never quite left. After graduating with a Bachelors in Theology I spent ten years working in pastoral ministry, accompanying communities through seasons of growth, change and grief. In 2023 I took a sabbatical to write on the topic of embodiment, with all its cultural, spiritual and philosophical intrigue, and in that more reflective space found myself drawn towards supervision and counselling.

I've since trained in Family Systems Theory, completed a Grad Cert in Pastoral Supervision from Charles Sturt University, and am currently enrolled in a Master of Counselling at the University of Canberra.

My approach is warm, curious, non-judgmental and person-centred. As a former dancer, I am creative and interested in how we connect with our whole being - body, mind and soul. I am drawn to those who are carrying the weight of caring for others with little time or energy to look after themselves; those who are genuinely curious ; those who are not 'mainstream'; and those who are grappling with meaning, certainty and calling.

If any of that resonates, I'd love to hear from you.
